Build Your Own Raspberry Pi HAT
Would you like to design a custom circuit for your Raspberry Pi? The Proto HAT Shield provides a base for your own electronics on a compatible 40-pin Raspberry Pi, including A+, B+ and Pi 2 models. Check clearance and connector compatibility for your specific model.
This plug-in prototyping board has a 0.1-inch grid of solder holes for ICs, resistors, LEDs, potentiometers and other components. Tracks beneath the holes are arranged like a breadboard, with long supply rails for 3.3V, 5V and ground. GPIO connections are brought out near the top; the listed layout excludes pin #26.
Some soldering is required to attach the header to the PCB. Use appropriate soldering tools and inspect the joints before connecting the board to your Pi.
Important: This board uses a 40-pin Raspberry Pi header, found on A+, B+, Pi 2 and later compatible boards. It does not fit original Model A or B boards with 26-pin headers directly. Check clearance and connectors for your specific model.
