Waterproof DS18B20 temperature sensor / One Wire sensor – 1m cable

A waterproof digital temperature sensor with a One Wire interface for reliable, accurate temperature measurements in your projects!

A very practical version of the DS18B20 temperature sensor is now available in a waterproof version with a 1m cable, allowing you to measure temperatures even in water.

The DS18B20 is easy to use thanks to open-source libraries, and offers the following features:

• 9–12-bit resolution
• Measures temperatures from -55°C to +125°C
• Accuracy of 0.5°C over the range -10°C to +85°C
• Can be powered directly through the signal pin using the One Wire interface
• Can be programmed to report alarms when the measured temperature exceeds set limits,
  

The OneWire data line requires a pull-up resistor, typically 4.7kΩ between DATA and VCC; this is not a series resistor.

The advantages of this DS18B20 temperature sensor over an analogue sensor are numerous, as described above, but reading its temperature values requires a little more programming than a simple NTC sensor. You also need a 4.7kΩ resistor connected between DATA and VCC.
