Move the antenna connection from your small LoRa board to the enclosure! This 10 cm pigtail cable connects a U.FL/MHF1 connector on the PCB to a straight SMA female connector for panel mounting.
The cable is ideal for 868 MHz LoRa and Meshtastic projects where the antenna needs to be mounted outside a box. The thin coaxial cable makes it easy to route the connection through a compact enclosure.
Check the connector type before installation: This version has standard SMA and MHF1/U.FL. RP-SMA and the smaller MHF4 connector are different connector types and are not directly compatible. Connect a suitable 868 MHz antenna before the radio transmits.
The connection is a passive 50 Ω coaxial cable: it relocates the antenna connector without amplifying the radio signal. The SMA end is mechanically secured in the enclosure, while the MHF1 end snaps onto a matching PCB contact. Keep the cable as short as possible, avoid sharp bends, and press the MHF1 connector straight down onto the contact rather than pulling on the cable. A cable connection does not make the enclosure waterproof; the antenna feedthrough must be sealed separately for outdoor use.
