TP4056 LiPo Battery Charger / 5V 1A Micro-USB Charging Module

Lithium batteries are useful, but incorrect charging can be dangerous. Use a suitable charging circuit!

Lithium batteries require a dedicated charging circuit. Incorrect charging can reduce capacity or, in the worst case, cause a battery to rupture. Charging modules are straightforward to use, and this affordable module lets you adjust the charging current to suit your requirements.

The TP4056 module charges one compatible lithium-ion or LiPo cell to a 4.2V charge-termination voltage. Micro USB provides the 5V supply input; the module does not provide a regulated 5V output. Charge current is resistor-programmed and must suit the battery. 

Power the TP4056 charger through Micro-USB or the IN+ and IN− solder pads. Two built-in LEDs indicate charging (red) and fully charged (green).

To adjust charging current, solder a different resistor value into the position shown:

The TP4056 charges your battery to 4.2V, up to the current selected using the table above. The factory-fitted 1.2kΩ resistor sets charging current to 1000mA. If you need an iron to replace the resistor, we recommend our TS101 soldering iron.
