A handy module with everything you could wish for from LILYGO: a compact LoRa module with an SMA antenna. It has built-in GPS and a holder for an 18650 battery on the back.

The LoRa module operates at 868MHz. It has a small 0.96-inch OLED display that is useful when sending or receiving data. Various libraries on GitHub and videos on YouTube can help you get started with exciting projects.

Build a small project with two or more LILYGO Meshtastic T-Beam boards to create an off-grid communication system, then head outdoors to test the range.  The link above explains this exciting project.

LILYGO has several hardware versions with different power-management, radio and USB chips. Use the schematic and pinout matching the marking on your board. Connect only a suitable single-cell Li-ion/LiPo arrangement with correct polarity to the battery input; the previous low-voltage table entry was not a verified battery specification.
