A simple binary Hall-effect sensor that produces a digital signal when a magnetic field reaches its switching threshold.
Hall- effect sensors detect magnetic fields. Compared with reed switches. Suitable distance depends on magnet strength, orientation and the sensor's switching threshold.
The binary output has two states indicating whether the magnetic switching condition is met.
An onboard LED lights when the sensor is triggered by a nearby magnet.
Technical specifications

Operating voltage |
Module supply must be verified; the sensor chip’s 4.5–24V range is not the whole board’s voltage rating. |
|
I/O voltage |
Active low; logic-high voltage depends on pull-up. Level-shift to meet receiver limits. |
| Signal-pin logic | Active low |
| Magnetic switching threshold | 50-400 Gauss |
| Maximum current consumption | 15mA |
| Communication interface | Binary |
