A4988 stepper motor driver / Stepstick
Control a bipolar stepper motor with the A4988 driver.
This driver, also called a Stepstick, makes controlling a stepper motor straightforward. A microcontroller sets the direction and number of steps. The driver works well with our NEMA17 stepper motor.
The driver has several protection features, including overcurrent and overtemperature protection, to protect both your motor and the driver.
The built-in potentiometer lets you set motor current and therefore control motor torque.
You can also microstep your motor for greater precision at the expense of torque.

Warranty and shipping
We do our best to test all electronics before sending them to you.
This helps us deliver good work and saves you unnecessary trouble during development. Faults can occur, but we see them very rarely. If there is a problem with the equipment you ordered, you can always contact us, and we will be happy to help resolve it.
We dispatch from Aarhus to Denmark and Sweden. Shipping options and prices are shown at checkout. Delivery time depends on availability, destination and shipping method; contact us before ordering if you need an item by a specific date.
Set the current limit for the motor’s rated current and the board’s sense resistors before use. Disconnect power before changing motor connections and provide local motor-supply decoupling.
