3-axis gyroscope and accelerometer IMU GY-521 MPU-6050

GY-521 uses I2C. Board supply input and I2C logic levels are separate: check the SDA/SCL pull-up voltage before connecting it. Do not apply 5V to a 3.3V-only GPIO. A module regulator does not automatically make its I2C pins 5V tolerant; use suitable level conversion as needed.

A motion sensor for precise acceleration and angular-velocity measurements across six axes.

MPU6050 is a motion sensor that combines a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer on one silicon chip. Its Digital Motion Processor (DMP) handles complex 9-axis MotionFusion algorithms. Integration avoids cross-axis alignment issues associated with separate components. The 9-axis MotionFusion algorithms can access external magnetometers or other sensors through a master I2C bus, collecting a complete sensor-data set without intervention from the system processor.
