Arduino Nano V3

A compact, very affordable Arduino solution with the same power as the popular Uno!

Arduino Nano V3 is a compact ATmega328P development board for space-constrained projects. It has 14 labelled digital pins and 8 analogue inputs. A0–A5 can also act as digital pins; A6 and A7 are analogue inputs only. USB makes programming straightforward, and the board works with many sensors and actuators.

This small all-in-one Arduino solution is a practical development tool for every developer's toolbox. As one of the smallest Arduino boards, Nano offers several advantages over the larger Uno board:

  • The small form factor makes Nano easier to embed in your projects
  • Fits perfectly into breadboards for easy, tidy development
  • Affordable enough for experiments you might hesitate to try with its more expensive sibling.

There are trade-offs: Nano has no 12V power socket, and Arduino expansion shields cannot plug directly onto it. However, you can still power it externally through Vin at 7–12V, and shields are not required for every project.

Read our blog to learn how to use Arduino Nano V3 to build an overtaking alert system.
