SD Card Reader / SPI SD Card Adapter Module
Read and write SD cards with your microcontroller
This card-reader module connects an SD card to a microcontroller. SD cards normally operate at 3.3V. A built-in 3.3V regulator lets you supply the module with 5V and handles voltage reduction on the board.
Communicate through the microcontroller's SPI interface and use available open-source libraries.
Important: data communication uses 3.3V logic, so your microcontroller must communicate at this voltage.
SD cards can draw up to 200mA while writing. Whether using the 3.3V or 5V input, provide at least 200mA to avoid unstable operation.
