KY-005 Infrared Transmitter Module
KY-005 infrared transmitter module sends data using infrared light.
KY-005 emits infrared light. To control TVs, stereos, air conditioners and other IR receivers, your circuit must drive the LED with the required carrier, often 38kHz, and protocol. It does not generate the carrier or remote-control codes by itself.
Compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32 and other popular microcontrollers.
The infrared transmitter is easy to use thanks to its open-source libraries,.
This transmitter has no built-in series resistor. A 150Ω resistor is a starting point, but calculate the current from your supply and LED specifications. For greater range, use a suitable driver and respect the LED's current and 90mW power limits. Calculate the resistor here.
This transmitter works well with our 38kHz infrared receiver
