Check the module’s supply and output voltage against the controller’s input limits before connecting it. A 5V supply does not make the signal safe for a 3.3V GPIO or ADC; use suitable level/voltage conversion. Analogue signals require an ADC, which a standard Raspberry Pi computer does not include.
A PlayStation-style joystick with a push button! Control a robot arm, your own games or menu navigation.
KY-023 provides analogue control on two axes, X and Y, plus a centre push switch. Two potentiometers vary the voltage at the X and Y output pins as you move the stick.
Pressing the joystick activates its centre button. The two potentiometers provide separate X- and Y-axis signals, while the button provides a digital input.
To use this joystick with a microcontroller, use two analogue inputs for X and Y and one digital input for the push button.
