KY-038 sound sensor for loud sounds, with comparator

Check the module’s supply and output voltage against the controller’s input limits before connecting it. A 5V supply does not make the signal safe for a 3.3V GPIO or ADC; use suitable level/voltage conversion. Analogue signals require an ADC, which a standard Raspberry Pi computer does not include.

• Built-in 5mm electret microphone for sensing loud sounds without saturating
• Analogue output lets a microcontroller read the sensor directly
• A built-in LM393 comparator automatically switches the digital output when the sensor level exceeds the threshold set with the potentiometer
