ENS160 estimates air quality from MOX gas signals; eCO2 is not a direct CO2 measurement. Temperature and humidity compensation requires values from an external sensor. Follow datasheet warm-up and status flags before using readings. Chip dimensions and voltages are not the breakout dimensions or input voltage.
ENS160 Digital Multi-Gas / Air Quality Sensor
Explore air quality with the ENS160 Digital Multi-Gas Sensor
Want to know more about the air around you? The ENS160 Digital Multi-Gas Sensor helps you monitor it. Based on metal-oxide (MOX) technology , this compact sensor provides estimates of CO2 equivalents (eCO2), total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) and a useful air quality index (AQI). Its processing is integrated, with onboard algorithms handling temperature and humidity compensation and baseline management so you can focus on your project.
Suitable for industrial, consumer and IoT applications, this sensor provides several air-quality outputs. Whether building a smart-home system or an Industrial IoT project, the ENS160 can help you monitor the air. With a chip measuring only 3 × 3 mm chip dimensions , it is compact enough to integrate into small devices.
Key functions
- Multi-gas sensing: Reports eCO2, TVOCs and a real-time AQI—helping you monitor changes in air quality.
- Low power consumption: Suitable for battery-powered deviceswhere its power requirements are included in the design.
- High sensitivity and fast response: Responds to changes in volatile organic compounds after the required warm-up period.
- On-chip processing: The ENS160 handles temperature and humidity compensation, sensor fusion and baseline management using its internal algorithms.
- Compact and lightweight: With dimensions of 3 × 3 × 0.9 mm chip dimensions and a weight of only 2g, it is designed for compact applications.
- Wide operating range: Operates from -40°C to +85°C and up to 95% humidity, covering a range of monitoring environments.
