The DHT22, also known as AM2302, combines temperature and humidity measurement in a compact module. It is factory calibrated and provides digital readings, making it a familiar choice for DIY weather stations, smart-home monitoring and other environmental measurement projects.

Low power consumption and a digital connection. Cable lengths up to 20m are conditional on supply voltage, wiring and signal integrity; long runs are not guaranteed in every setup.

Integrated design: capacitive humidity sensing, temperature sensing and an 8-bit MCU process readings within the sensor.
