Help Monitor Your Plants' Soil Moisture
This soil moisture sensor has a 1.3m lead and a corrosion-resistant probe for monitoring relative soil moisture in Arduino and other electronics projects. It helps indicate when soil conditions change, supporting plant-watering experiments.
Connect the module correctly and adjust the blue potentiometer to set the digital switching threshold. Always connect the ground correctly; incorrect wiring can damage the module. Calibrate readings for your soil and installation rather than treating them as an absolute moisture percentage.

Instructions for use

Connection: Connect positive and negative supply terminals correctly. Important: Always connect the negative terminal correctly to avoid damage. The [P] power indicator lights when power is applied.

Threshold adjustment: Turn the blue potentiometer to adjust the digital switching threshold. Use the [S] indicator to find the switching point for the installed probe and desired soil condition. The potentiometer affects only [DO], not the [AO] output.

AO output: [AO] is an analogue voltage. Before connecting it to a microcontroller ADC, verify that it stays within that ADC's input limits; add suitable voltage scaling if necessary.
