
Soldering even on the go?! Yes, it is possible with soldering irons from Miniware. Miniware has created what are known as smart soldering irons, offering great flexibility in where you can solder. At the time of writing, the range includes three irons: TS80, TS80P — current selection; check compatibility and TS100 — current selection; check compatibility.
TS80P — current selection; check compatibility is an upgraded version of the TS80. TS80P — current selection; check compatibility is powered via USB Type-C using the PD2.0/QC3.0 protocols, which are often supported by smartphone chargers, power banks, and portable power supplies. The TS80P’s output power has increased from 18W to 30W, resulting in much faster tip heating. You can connect anything from portable power adapters to power banks to supply power to the TS80P — current selection; check compatibility. This gives you a wide range of options. In the table below, three solutions have been tested to assess how much the different protocols affect heating speed.

During tests of both Delcato and Mi Power Bank 2S 10000 mAh the TS80P selected 9V instead of 12V. This is because the TS80P only selects 12V if it can draw 2.6A. Neither supply in this test could deliver that current at 12V. A more powerful power supply can therefore reduce the heating time. That said, 17s is incredibly fast.
When tested with a power supply capable of delivering up to 12V/3A, the TS80P could use its full rated 30 W. The heating time dropped to just 10.5 s.

TS100 — current selection; check compatibility is considered the big brother of the TS80 and TS80P — current selection; check compatibility. TS100 — current selection; check compatibility can be supplied with a much higher input voltage and current. Its 65W power rating lets it compete with both stationary soldering irons and the market for more portable smart soldering irons. TS100 — current selection; check compatibility offers user-defined heating curves and customised functions.
TS80P — current selection; check compatibility is perfect for soldering on the go. With its USB Type-C connection, you can almost always find a way to power it. TS80P — current selection; check compatibility has an easily removable tip, making its form factor ideal for transport.

Kunne være fedt hvis I solgte en powerbank der kunne give 12V til TS80P :)
